Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise software for scheduling, production control, plant-floor interfaces, reporting, and system integrations.
- Build Java 17 applications using Java EE technologies, including Servlets, EJB 3, JPA, Hibernate, and JTA.
- Manage multi-module Gradle builds and deploy and troubleshoot applications on Apache TomEE/OpenEJB.
- Design, analyze, and optimize SQL Server databases and schemas.
- Design and consume RESTful HTTP APIs and work with JSON serialization libraries.
- Configure WAR/EAR packages, datasources, and application containers.
- Use PowerShell and Windows batch scripting for build, deployment, and operational tasks.
- Collaborate through Git and GitHub workflows.
- Contribute to reporting, Java Swing/SwingX desktop interfaces, manufacturing touchscreen UIs, transport-layer integrations, and automated testing as applicable.
Requirements
- Strong Core Java experience, including modern Java 17 language features.
- Experience with multi-module Gradle builds and Java EE technologies.
- Experience deploying and troubleshooting applications on Apache TomEE/OpenEJB.
- Strong SQL Server development, optimization, schema design, and analysis skills.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful HTTP APIs.
- Working knowledge of JSON serialization libraries such as Jackson or Gson.
- Experience with Windows-based development, Eclipse, PowerShell, Windows batch scripting, Git, and GitHub workflows.
- Experience in reporting with BIRT 4.19, Java Swing/SwingX desktop UI development, manufacturing or industrial touchscreen interfaces, TCP/IP or Serial transport layers, and JUnit 4 is a plus.
- Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting proficiency is beneficial.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or AWS Security Specialty are preferred.
