Responsibilities
- Own production GCP infrastructure, including multi-region GKE clusters, networking, load balancing, DNS, firewall rules, and IAM.
- Build and maintain shared GitLab CI/CD pipelines and templates across development, QA, staging, pre-production, and production environments.
- Operate and harden Kubernetes clusters through upgrades, RBAC, resource quotas, rolling updates, health probes, and supply-chain security.
- Manage platform security through gateway policies, API-key and JWT issuance, secret rotation, vulnerability scanning, workload identity, and least-privilege IAM.
- Own observability and incident response, including logs, metrics, dashboards, SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, alerting, post-mortems, and on-call runbooks.
- Build internal developer CLIs, self-service workflows, Terraform modules, and golden-path automation.
- Perform load testing, capacity planning, operational tuning, and PostgreSQL migrations, backups, restores, replication, query-plan, and indexing work.
- Operate GCP Pub/Sub messaging, including topology, subscriptions, dead-letter handling, and tuning.
Requirements
- Senior production ownership experience on GCP operating real workloads.
- Production Kubernetes and GKE experience with deployments, Helm, namespaces, RBAC, quotas, rolling updates, probes, multi-region setups, and rollbacks.
- Daily Terraform experience building reusable modules and managing IAM, networking, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, secrets, remote state, and drift detection.
- Deep GitLab CI or equivalent pipeline experience, including reusable templates, security and dependency scans, and deployment promotion strategies.
- Strong cloud networking and application-security experience covering VPCs, load balancing, DNS, firewall rules, gateway policies, secrets, workload identity, and IAM.
- Production observability and reliability experience with structured logging, metrics, dashboards, alerting, SLOs, on-call rotations, and post-mortems.
- Operational PostgreSQL and GCP Pub/Sub experience.
- Bash scripting plus Python or Go for platform automation and internal tooling.
- Excellent written and spoken English and ability to collaborate across EU, US, and other time zones.
- Preferred qualifications include GCP Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification, gRPC, Envoy, or GKE Gateway API experience, Kafka or RabbitMQ exposure, GCP FinOps, and supply-chain security experience with SBOMs, image signing, SLSA, or container scanning.
- Experience in IP management, legal-tech, or regulated B2B SaaS is a plus.
