Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Turn ambiguous, organization-level technical questions into scoped and working MVPs, prototypes, and proof-of-concept systems.
- Build reference implementations, runnable HOWTOs, pattern libraries, and paved-path artifacts for cross-cutting architectural decisions.
- Develop and demonstrate AI-native development practices and agent-oriented prototypes.
- Run parallel engineering efforts across organizational boundaries from concept through working systems.
- Partner with product teams to debug adoption issues and help them implement architectural patterns.
- Conduct technical diligence, platform evaluations, and rapid integrations for CTO Office priorities.
- Mentor engineers and establish reusable patterns, documentation, standards, and engineering practices adopted across teams.
Requirements
- 18+ years of software engineering experience, including extensive hands-on individual-contributor work designing, building, and operating enterprise-scale production systems across multiple technology domains.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, API design, data modeling, multi-tenant SaaS architecture, security, and organizational architectural direction.
- A demonstrated record of independently resolving highly ambiguous technical challenges through working code and producing reference implementations or platform tooling adopted at scale.
- Mastery of the software development lifecycle, algorithmic problem solving, object-oriented design, API governance, testing strategy, source control practices, and technical documentation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, collaboration across organizational boundaries, and the ability to mentor engineers and influence technical leaders.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with agent architectures, LLM integration, AI-native application patterns, MCP, A2A, AWS, GCP, Workday’s OMS, XO, Business Process framework, and Domain Security Policies.
- Preferred: ability to rapidly evaluate unfamiliar technologies and deliver working integrations in days.
