Base Salary

$198k - $235k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build and ship sign-up, login, password management, and account recovery features across iOS, Android, and backend services.
  • Design intuitive privacy controls that help athletes understand and manage their data and Strava experience.
  • Partner with Product, Security, Trust & Safety, and Legal to meet compliance and platform integrity needs.
  • Improve consistency across login, privacy, and account experiences on iOS, Android, and web.
  • Use data to monitor and improve login success rates, recovery flows, and engagement with privacy controls.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and on-call rotations.
  • Break down ambiguous problems into well-scoped, multi-component solutions and evaluate technical trade-offs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience spanning mobile development on iOS or Android and backend/server systems.
  • Strong full-stack and product engineering fundamentals, with the ability to ramp up on account security systems.
  • Experience breaking down complex, ambiguous problems into multi-component solutions.
  • Ability to balance user experience with data protection and abuse prevention.
  • Strong collaboration skills across product, security, and legal stakeholders.
  • Experience with authentication protocols such as OAuth or SSO, or in privacy- and compliance-sensitive domains, is preferred.
