Base Salary
$130k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to refine and validate design concepts.
- Break down complex features into distributable engineering tasks and rollout plans.
- Design and deliver frontend features that directly impact thousands of users.
- Experiment with and advocate for new systems, design patterns, and tooling.
- Use and contribute to Datadog’s in-house design system.
- Own meaningful parts of the service while improving performance and addressing scalability limits.
- Participate in hackathons, frontend demos, and the annual Front End summit.
Requirements
- Several years of experience designing and engineering user interfaces.
- Mastery of the JavaScript ecosystem and awareness of current frontend technology trends.
- Ability to use design patterns to create simple, reusable components for complex user interfaces.
- Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, profiling, and optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI coding tools in daily workflows and validate, critique, and refine AI-generated output.
- Some positions may require eligibility for US government authorizations under export control regulations.
