Base Salary
$185k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Refine existing product functionality to deliver an exceptional user experience.
- Improve consistency, cohesive look and feel, layout, interactions, responsiveness, and visual polish across the product.
- Implement performance improvements that directly impact end users.
- Build scalable backend solutions in collaboration with full-stack, data, ML, and DevOps engineers.
- Own work and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight.
- Test ideas, measure results, and iterate quickly on challenging problems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally improving and polishing product functionality for a premium user experience.
- Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving.
- Experience with a modern frontend framework, preferably React.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python; strong candidates from other object-oriented backgrounds are also considered.
- Experience with serverless technologies such as Lambda and EC2, asynchronous workflows, and cloud environments.
- Comfort with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
- Excellent ownership, communication, experimentation, and project-completion skills.
- Experience with LLMs or generative AI and distributed systems is a bonus.
