Responsibilities
- Build, configure, and prototype AI agents and agentic workflows in Coupa Agent Studio and Coupa Compose.
- Design deterministic state-machine workflows, multi-agent handoffs, guardrails, human-in-the-loop controls, and enterprise process automation.
- Tune prompts and models, identify hallucinations, and develop evaluation harnesses for functional correctness.
- Integrate AI agents with ERP, CLM, CRM, and other enterprise systems through secure APIs.
- Deploy and maintain Coupa extensibility solutions including the Embedded UI Assistant and Model Context Protocol integrations.
- Monitor agent health, perform testing, troubleshoot workflow failures, and manage consumption and resource impacts.
- Act as the technical liaison between customers, Product Management, Professional Services, and pre-sales teams.
- Create reusable agent blueprints, workflow patterns, and implementation components to scale delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a technical integration, middleware, API engineering, or systems architecture role.
- Deep knowledge of REST/GraphQL and JSON.
- Fluency in Python and/or JavaScript with Node.js.
- Experience connecting nondeterministic AI outputs with deterministic enterprise systems.
- Understanding of Source-to-Pay requirements, including procurement, invoicing, and payables workflows.
- Hands-on experience with MCP or similar agentic architectures such as LangChain or AutoGen.
- Experience with enterprise strategic consulting and large-scale digital transformation initiatives is preferred.
- Ability to debug issues involving data quality, prompt ambiguity, API latency, product behavior, and configuration.
- Ability to establish technical trust with C-suite stakeholders and explain complex technical behavior clearly.
- Experience mapping fragmented legacy processes into coherent automated workflow dependencies is preferred.
