Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, code, test, and support programs and enterprise data integrations of varying complexity.
- Develop ETL workflows and scalable, highly available, performant, and secure data solutions.
- Provide technical thought leadership and mentor junior staff members.
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Principal Engineers, solution and enterprise architects, infrastructure partners, IT colleagues, business analysts, and external resources.
- Own and deliver design artifacts for each sprint and contribute to development execution sequencing.
- Estimate development and feature-level effort for project planning and escalate delays, issues, risks, and highlights.
- Tune performance, troubleshoot distributed systems, and support 24x7 production environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of software development experience with expertise in data warehousing, database design, ETL, and large-scale data processing, cleansing, and quality.
- Hands-on experience building ETL solutions with major relational database platforms and SQL.
- Experience with Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, ADLS, PySpark, and Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of data warehouse design concepts including slowly changing dimensions, aggregation, partitioning, indexing, and Lambda architecture for batch and real-time processing.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, collaboration, performance tuning, distributed systems, and production-support skills.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and source code management tools; exposure to Stonebranch, Tableau or MicroStrategy, and AI is a plus.
