Base Salary
$230k - $390k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build multimodal AI-agent experiences across voice, text, and screen.
- Improve AI voice conversations across carriers, telephony networks, contact centers, and global infrastructure.
- Help build the Personal Agent Protocol for secure interactions between personal agents, companies, and Sierra agents.
- Develop ChatKit native iOS, Android, and web components for voice controls, waveforms, transcripts, and chat.
- Own the global telephony stack, including SIP, WebRTC, the Sierra Voice Protocol, and contact-center integrations.
- Build tools that allow developers to launch SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, email, LINE, Messenger, and Instagram channels.
- Ship reliable, scalable, secure, and maintainable production systems with strong attention to latency, reliability, and user experience.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience building production systems; the posting also references 3+ years building production software used by real users.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong backend engineering fundamentals and the ability to work across backend, infrastructure, mobile, and web.
- Passion for frontier AI products and experience building reliable, maintainable, secure systems at scale.
- Preferred experience includes enterprise or consumer AI products, native iOS or Android SDKs, messaging or voice applications, SIP, WebRTC, Twilio, contact-center platforms, and real-time low-latency distributed systems.
