Base Salary
$176k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend systems and microservices.
- Build APIs and service interfaces using REST, GraphQL, and gRPC.
- Develop backend workflows, batch-processing systems, and workflow orchestration for reliable distributed processing.
- Create data integrations and pipelines across relational, NoSQL, and data-warehouse technologies.
- Contribute to distributed-system architecture focused on scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Implement resilience features including rate limiting, throttling, and fault-tolerance strategies.
- Improve observability through logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement reliability improvements.
- Write maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to code reviews, CI/CD workflows, and system quality efforts.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in computer science, engineering in any field, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Two years of experience in the offered role or a related occupation.
- Backend software development experience using Java and Kotlin.
- Experience developing APIs and service interfaces with REST, GraphQL, and gRPC.
- Experience with object-oriented programming, microservices architecture, and scalable distributed systems.
- Experience with Spring Batch, Temporal, relational databases, NoSQL databases, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC.
- Knowledge of application security, including authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Experience with AWS, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, Maven, Gradle, software testing, debugging, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Experience with messaging and streaming systems such as Kafka or ActiveMQ.
- Any suitable combination of education, training, and experience is acceptable.
