Responsibilities
- Translate functional specifications into technical designs, estimates, and clean-core-compliant implementation approaches.
- Develop CDS views, RAP services, analytical Fiori applications, ABAP enhancements, and released-extension solutions.
- Build integrations between S/4HANA, SAP Digital Manufacturing, factory-automation systems, edge systems, and analytics using SAP BTP Integration Suite and standard integration patterns.
- Develop SAPUI5 and Fiori Elements applications for shop-floor use, including multilingual hand-held interfaces.
- Implement batch, lot, cavity-level traceability, genealogy reporting, forms, print programs, approval workflows, and master-data applications.
- Enforce clean-core governance through released APIs, BAdIs, extension registries, upgrade-safety reviews, code reviews, and documentation.
- Design and implement batch-number assignment, characteristic copying and re-derivation, batch interfaces, and long lot-number handling.
- Work with client SMEs, client IT, the workstream lead, and global SAP template and clean-core governance teams.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of SAP technical development experience and three or more full-lifecycle implementations, including at least one S/4HANA implementation.
- Hands-on Batch Management and end-to-end traceability experience covering batch master data, classification, batch determination, number assignment, characteristic re-derivation, cavity-level data, and genealogy reporting.
- Strong ABAP Object-Oriented and ABAP on HANA experience, including CDS views, AMDP, code pushdown, performance optimization, RAP, released APIs, and BAdIs.
- Experience delivering clean-core extensions and refusing unnecessary core modifications.
- SAPUI5, Fiori, Fiori Elements, annotations, custom controls, and launchpad configuration experience.
- Hands-on SAP BTP experience, including Integration Suite, Cloud Integration, API Management, event-based integration, and preferably Cloud Foundry or Kyma.
- Experience with OData, REST, SOAP, IDoc, ALE/EDI, Data Replication Framework, file-based interfaces, Adobe Forms or SmartForms, and SAP integration with PP, QM, MM/IM, and WM.
- Fluent professional English is required; business-level Japanese is preferred but not required.
- Preferred experience includes SAP Digital Manufacturing or MES integration, machine and edge connectivity, OPC UA, analytical CDS models, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Build Process Automation, SAP Workflow Management, ABAP Test Cockpit, abapGit, gCTS, CI/CD for SAP, and relevant SAP certifications.
