Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Build characterization tests and automated database testing solutions using tSQLt or golden-master approaches.
- Develop database replay harnesses with point-in-time restores and data masking.
- Execute and maintain test coverage for stored procedures, identify discrepancies, and validate expected outputs.
- Implement database backup, restoration, and data masking processes for reliable testing environments.
- Use .NET to develop supporting test harnesses and automation utilities.
- Integrate automated database testing into CI pipelines.
- Use AI tools, including Claude, to improve work quality and share adoption best practices.
- Provide project oversight, execute deliverables, and collaborate with clients and engineering teams.
- Lead, mentor, coach, and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with T-SQL, database testing, stored procedures, or related database engineering work.
- Experience using AI tools in daily work or strong willingness to experiment with and champion AI adoption.
- Claude Certified Developer or Architect certification is highly preferred.
- Consultative problem-solving skills and a commitment to understanding and exceeding client expectations.
- Ability to perform project oversight and deliver project work in a high-growth organization.
- Ability to lead, mentor, motivate, present, coach, and collaborate effectively.
- Commitment to continuous learning, intellectual curiosity, and creative solution development.
- Full understanding of the software development life cycle.
- Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
