Base Salary

$120k - $152k/yr

Responsibilities

Develop scalable hybrid and cloud-based data solutions for financial market clearing and risk activities.
Build scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, or Postgres.
Design and optimize low-latency, event-driven distributed systems using Spring Batch and Kafka.
Design and deploy distributed real-time applications on AWS using EC2 and Auto Scaling Groups.
Implement efficient database access strategies using optimized SQL and selective bypassing of ORM frameworks.
Analyze requirements, develop and test software, document quality, and follow SDLC, architectural, audit, performance, and security standards.
Perform application and project risk analysis and recommend quality improvements.
Provide production support, functionality guidance, software fixes, and security vulnerability remediation.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
Three years of experience as a software developer, systems engineer, research assistant, or in a related role.
Work or volunteer experience designing and optimizing low-latency, event-driven distributed systems using Spring Batch and Kafka.
Work or volunteer experience developing Java and Spring Boot microservices and RESTful APIs with MongoDB or Postgres.
Work or volunteer experience implementing optimized SQL-based database access strategies while selectively bypassing ORM frameworks.
Work or volunteer experience designing and deploying distributed real-time AWS applications using EC2 and Auto Scaling Groups.
