Responsibilities
- Work with large-scale distributed systems and understand their architecture and trade-offs.
- Set technical direction for multiple teams, ensuring alignment with business areas and architecture strategies.
- Drive innovation while ensuring resilient, secure, and flexible solutions that scale across products.
- Mentor engineers across teams and maintain a high technical bar organization-wide.
- Write, test, instrument, document, and maintain high-quality code.
- Participate in code reviews to support the growth of team members.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering leaders to build new experiences.
- Ensure observability, performance monitoring, and robust error handling across services.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents as necessary.
- Focus on backend applications while being open to mobile and frontend development.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience developing digital products in complex environments.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale systems for thousands or millions of users.
- Strong background in object-oriented or functional programming languages.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives across multiple teams.
- Experience mentoring senior engineers and raising the technical bar.
- Practical knowledge of agile software development methodologies and CI/CD.
- Strong communication skills to explain trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Advanced English skills.
