Base Salary

$307k - $427k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Drive the technical outlook, roadmap, and execution of the ASKIE strategy in alignment with Google-wide goals.
  • Enable agentic software development and GenAI adoption at Google scale.
  • Create and evaluate safety guardrails addressing intellectual property exfiltration, system outages, and code-quality risks.
  • Set standards for SDLC data measurement and telemetry and influence Finance and other stakeholders on evaluating AI adoption efficacy.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to identify opportunities and best practices for applying GenAI technologies.
  • Represent Google in academic and industry forums focused on AI-driven software development transformation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or another relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience as a software engineer or research scientist.
  • Experience with large-scale machine learning infrastructure, ML or AI for products, or related fields.
  • Preferred advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics.
  • Preferred experience in software engineering research, particularly using AI/ML.
  • Preferred experience delivering complex projects, motivating others, and creating shared direction and purpose.
  • Preferred expertise combining GenAI at the model layer with large-scale software development across research and applied ML for the code domain.
  • Preferred understanding of computing, data centers, enterprise software, and hardware infrastructure.
  • Preferred experience with extensive cross-organizational collaboration and coordination in GenAI.

Benefits

  • US base salary of $307000 - $427000, plus a 30% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
