Base Salary
$209k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.
- Mentor engineering team members and drive professional development within technical teams.
- Lead architectural design reviews and influence enterprise-wide technical standards and methodologies.
- Establish coding standards and design patterns across teams.
- Implement observability and reliability practices and optimize performance bottlenecks in distributed systems.
- Stay current with technology trends, participate in technology communities, and occasionally code or evaluate code.
- Lead cross-functional engineering efforts and large-scale technical initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience, excluding internship experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred experience includes 9+ years coding with more than two listed programming languages, 5+ years with open source frameworks, and 5+ years with front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.
- Preferred experience includes APIs, databases, cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, Git-based version control, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring senior engineers, leading architecture reviews, establishing coding standards, implementing observability and reliability practices, and influencing technology strategy.
- Experience with modern AI-based coding tools, interactive AI tooling, and enterprise-scale technical initiatives.

- Full-time annual salary ranges vary by location: $209,000-$238,500 in Chicago, Plano, and Riverwoods, and $229,900-$262,400 in McLean, Virginia.
- The role is expected to accept applications for a minimum of 5 business days.
