Base Salary
$132k - $197k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and drive solution designs aligned with enterprise reference architectures, business strategies, and IT strategies.
- Translate strategy into end-to-end designs spanning APIs, applications, agentic AI, data, and cloud infrastructure.
- Produce option analyses and architecture decision records balancing security, reliability, complexity, automation, strategic alignment, and cost.
- Design SaaS and native cloud solutions while rationalizing and modernizing technology assets.
- Advance digital identity and zero-trust patterns and align solutions with enterprise security standards.
- Partner with value streams on roadmaps and Program Increments and ensure designs meet non-functional and operational expectations.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, support architecture governance reviews and conformance checks, and mentor engineers across a matrixed organization.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in solution architecture, application architecture, or senior engineering roles in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated experience designing cloud-native solutions using AWS or GCP, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Experience applying GenAI or ML to production use cases, with familiarity with agentic architectures, RAG, semantic search, embedding models, and LLMs.
- Expertise with digital identity, CIAM, OIDC, OAuth2, and enterprise security standards.
- Experience designing single-page applications with contemporary frameworks such as Angular or React.
- Experience designing cloud-based solutions using API-based integrations and understanding JSON, REST, and HTTP standards.
- Understanding of cloud, hybrid cloud, and container deployment architectures, including container orchestration systems.
- Fluency in platform and product thinking, solution KPIs, reliability engineering, and cost management.
- Strong written, verbal, communication, influence, and mentoring skills with senior-leader engagement experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent practical experience; relevant cloud and architecture certifications are preferred.
- Insurance industry experience and Employee Benefits experience, particularly billing and workflow functions, are preferred.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

- Hybrid work schedule with three required office days per week, Tuesday through Thursday, in Columbus, Ohio; Chicago, Illinois; Hartford, Connecticut; or Charlotte, North Carolina.
