Responsibilities
- Lead hands-on development and provide technical direction to developers, vendor resources, and other technical roles.
- Own successful execution and operational performance across multiple software projects and products.
- Prioritize work, support scheduling and budget planning, identify delivery risks, and remove project impediments.
- Provide project and service status updates, escalate issues, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure software modules follow disciplined development processes, team standards, corporate policies, and governance requirements.
- Coordinate third-party support and outsourced delivery, resolve application issues, and support product direction and implementation.
- Improve development quality and promote best practices, tools, processes, and techniques.
- Recruit, coach, mentor, and provide leadership to more junior developers.
Requirements
- Extensive experience developing software in C++.
- Demonstrable experience with formal software engineering activities and methodologies, including design, development, and testing.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and drive effective resolution.
- Strong technical and non-technical communication skills across multiple audiences and levels.
- Working knowledge of the financial industry.
- Familiarity with networking protocols.
- Experience with scripting languages, preferably Python.
- Understanding of operating systems and in-depth working knowledge of Windows or Linux.
- Experience with AWS or Azure public cloud toolsets and environments.
- Basic experience with AI concepts and implementations.
