Responsibilities
- Lead sophisticated technical initiatives across the organization and across domain teams.
- Drive technical direction, roadmaps, architecture decisions, and long-term technology vision for eBay Live.
- Author and steward Architecture Decision Records and guide cross-team technical decisions.
- Own large functional areas and complex projects from conception through successful implementation.
- Lead large, multi-team initiatives by defining milestones, managing technical risk, and resolving dependencies.
- Improve engineering productivity, practices, flexibility, and velocity across teams.
- Provide technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews, mentoring, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
- Identify system gaps, risks, and opportunities and drive durable solutions and multi-quarter engineering roadmaps.
- Collaborate with multifunctional partners to develop innovative solutions aligned with development goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or another related field.
- 10+ years of professional experience in native mobile development.
- Ability to translate requirements into clean, efficient, extensible, and maintainable software designs.
- Deep expertise across multiple large functional areas.
- Experience acting as a technical authority across domain and platform teams and shaping long-term architecture.
- Ability to lead complex, cross-team initiatives and align stakeholders toward execution.
- Strong decision-making, ownership, communication, collaboration, mentoring, and coaching skills.
- Ability to work through ambiguity, identify changing system needs, and design for future flexibility.
