Responsibilities
- Lead mobile engineering teams across iOS, Android, and cross-platform delivery while remaining hands-on as needed.
- Own mobile technical design, architecture, engineering quality, delivery outcomes, standards, reusable patterns, and guardrails.
- Translate product, experience, security, and business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Partner with product managers, designers, architects, API teams, quality engineers, security teams, and client stakeholders.
- Manage estimates, scope, dependencies, risks, release readiness, and technical issue resolution.
- Lead design and code reviews focused on security, accessibility, performance, testability, maintainability, and platform compliance.
- Coach developers, delegate work, provide feedback, and build a high-performing engineering environment.
- Drive automated testing, observability, DevSecOps, and responsible use of AI-assisted engineering tools.
- Support client workshops, technical proposals, staffing plans, estimates, and pursuit solutioning.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience, including significant mobile application development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience leading developers and managing delivery commitments for client or enterprise programs.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with native iOS and Swift, Android and Kotlin, or strong delivery experience with React Native, Flutter, or Kotlin Multiplatform.
- Experience defining mobile architecture and integrating applications with identity platforms, analytics, notifications, and backend services.
- Experience with mobile CI/CD, automated testing, application signing, release management, and production support.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools in the software development lifecycle with appropriate review, testing, security, and quality judgment.
- Preferred experience includes regulated-industry mobile products, SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, mobile security, secure storage, authentication, privacy, accessibility, application performance monitoring, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, modern API or event-driven architectures, distributed delivery teams, estimating, solution shaping, and client proposals.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Strong team leadership, communication, coaching, collaboration, organization, problem-solving, and pragmatic technical decision-making skills.
Benefits
- Full-time employment with a stated base salary range of $90,850 to $140,850 for British Columbia, Ontario, and New Brunswick.
