Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the Contract Funding application vision, roadmap, technical objectives, and execution.
  • Lead enhancements that simplify and modernize contract funding processes.
  • Translate business and technical needs into requirements and actionable application solutions.
  • Perform hands-on coding, programming, file design, application updates, deployment, testing, debugging, and maintenance.
  • Design and develop application components, web services, APIs, system interfaces, and user interfaces.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Contract Funding business processes and system functionality.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, assess business impact, prioritize fixes, and coordinate testing and validation.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining internal controls, financial standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Consult with and advocate for the platform while coordinating with IT, Finance, Operations, Compliance, Sales, and Credit.
  • Support requirements gathering, testing, implementation, and ongoing solution refinement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 6 years of firsthand development experience with Java 8+, J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, JDBC, Hibernate, REST/SOAP APIs, and Tomcat.
  • Experience with Java/J2EE, Struts, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JSP, JSON, XML, SQL, DB2, PostgreSQL, PL/SQL, JavaScript, jQuery, GWT, and Angular.
  • Experience designing and developing web services, APIs, and system interfaces.
  • UI development experience with Angular and/or React, HTML5, CSS3, and XML.
  • Understanding of object-oriented design, coding patterns, abstract classes, interfaces, and dependency injection.
  • Experience with GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, deployment automation, branching strategies, and application deployments through T3/Jenkins or similar pipelines.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with Jira and DevOps practices.
  • Preferred experience with SDLC processes, cloud environments such as AWS or Azure, microservices architecture, technical analysis, and business-oriented recommendations.
  • Preferred knowledge of unit and integration testing methodologies, including JUnit, JMock, Karma, and Jasmine, and experience creating System Integration Test cases using Jira and DevOps tools.
