Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership, engineering expertise, and direction to engineering teams while collaborating with business stakeholders, product teams, and technology groups.
- Analyze and elaborate user stories, design and develop software applications, and build automation tools.
- Own the architecture, design, development, testing, and other technical aspects of assigned software systems.
- Write code, API specifications, and proofs of concept; conduct code reviews and testing in ongoing sprints.
- Develop cloud-native data platforms, scalable data pipelines, distributed data processing solutions, and batch and streaming ingestion frameworks.
- Define canonical data models, metadata management approaches, data quality frameworks, and reusable data products for analytics and downstream applications.
- Integrate contact-center platforms and enterprise systems through APIs, event streaming, messaging, webhooks, and batch or real-time ingestion.
- Lead technical design discussions, mentor engineers, conduct reviews, and promote consistent development practices across multiple teams.
- Collaborate with technical product managers on blueprints and feature planning and communicate solution designs to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience designing and building cloud-native data platforms, scalable data pipelines, and distributed data processing solutions.
- Strong experience with Python, PySpark, Spark, Dataproc, SQL, or equivalent distributed data-processing technologies for ingestion frameworks and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Experience designing data platforms on Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure using services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions.
- Strong understanding of Contact Center as a Service platforms and customer interaction data across voice, chat, IVR, dialers, Agent Assist, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, transcripts, events, and operational metrics.
- Experience with canonical data models, metadata management, data quality frameworks, reusable data products, data virtualization, semantic datasets, and relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience integrating contact-center platforms and enterprise systems through APIs, event streaming, messaging, webhooks, and batch or real-time ingestion patterns.
- Strong experience with Apache Kafka, Google Pub/Sub, or similar event-streaming technologies.
- Experience enabling enterprise analytics through BigQuery, Metrics as a Service, reusable data services, and cloud-native analytical platforms.
- Experience with deployment automation and engineering practices using Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar technologies.
- Experience leading technical discussions, mentoring engineers, conducting design and code reviews, and collaborating across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Analytics, and Business organizations.
- Preferred experience with Java and Spring Boot, customer journey or contact-center analytics, Customer 360 solutions, generative AI, large language models, RAG, semantic search, vector databases, AI agents, enterprise data governance, metadata lineage, cataloging, observability, and BigQuery modernization.
