Responsibilities
- Build and ship digital banking products end-to-end using TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL, REST APIs, and modern web technologies.
- Design and scale resilient, high-integrity distributed systems supporting complex financial workflows and high-volume transactions.
- Own systems through the full lifecycle from ideation and architecture to production operations in a build-it-own-it environment.
- Lead modernization initiatives toward API-first, cloud-native, and event-driven architectures aligned with enterprise standards.
- Drive cross-team technical initiatives, shape architecture strategy, and deliver clarity across complex engineering work.
- Apply AI and automation pragmatically and responsibly to improve engineering productivity, customer outcomes, or operational effectiveness.
- Balance risk, compliance, profitability, security, privacy, and customer experience in engineering decisions.
- Mentor engineers, set high technical standards, and foster continuous learning, experimentation, and disciplined delivery.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on engineering expertise with TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL, REST APIs, and modern web technologies.
- Strong backend foundations with full-stack capability and experience owning software through production operations.
- Experience designing and scaling resilient distributed systems with observability, reliability, and operational control.
- Experience with banking, lending, fintech, or financial-platform environments, ideally involving complex financial workflows and high-volume transactions.
- Ability to lead architecture, modernization, and cross-team technical initiatives through ambiguity and complexity.
- Experience with several of the listed technologies across cloud infrastructure, AI and automation, testing, quality, observability, and frontend development.
- Ability to apply AI and automation with consideration for security, privacy, compliance, and regulatory constraints.
- Demonstrated mentoring ability and commitment to high engineering standards and continuous learning.
