Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex enterprise applications and APIs.
- Build and maintain scalable Java backend services using microservices architecture.
- Support production issues, remediate defects, and deliver small-to-medium enhancements.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and code review guidance to development teams.
- Apply engineering standards, secure development practices, coding best practices, and team development norms.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts, and infrastructure teams.
- Create architecture documentation, technical specifications, data models, and database design artifacts.
- Drive API-first development and ensure scalability, maintainability, and resiliency.
- Use generative AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and generate documentation.
- Validate AI-generated code for accuracy, performance, security, compliance, and alignment with enterprise standards.
Requirements
- Expert-level experience with Java 17 or Java 21, Spring Boot, Spring Security, microservices architecture, MongoDB, and Oracle Database including DDL, DML, and SQL.
- Experience with IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, and Git-based source control systems.
- Experience with Angular 16+, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, Jenkins, uDeploy, Harmony, Gradle, and Helm.
- Practical experience with GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Chat, or equivalent AI-assisted development tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted code generation, refactoring, unit test creation, documentation generation, API development, code review, and troubleshooting is preferred.
- Familiarity with responsible AI development practices and validation of AI-generated code is preferred.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices, OWASP standards, Dynatrace, Checkmarx, micro frontend architecture, and enterprise modernization is a plus.
- A bachelor’s degree is required; a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered instead.
- Roles at this level typically require 5+ years of industry-relevant experience.
