Base Salary
$112k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, develop, test, debug, and validate software systems, applications, enhancements, and new products.
- Lead software design reviews and create software design documentation according to established process requirements.
- Implement code according to coding standards and support algorithm design from detailed software requirements.
- Work within the software development lifecycle, contribute to process improvements, and deliver work according to schedules and budgets.
- Collaborate with multiple software development teams to reuse software across programs.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers and coordinate activities of other personnel when assigned as team lead.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or Physics, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in Windows or Linux application software development.
- Required experience with object-oriented design and expertise in C#/.NET, Java, C++, and/or Web UI.
- Experience writing unit tests, debugging code, and working with formal software lifecycles and Agile software development processes.
- Familiarity with source-code configuration management tools such as SVN and Git, along with IDEs and debuggers.
- Demonstrated mathematical, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree; Android, iOS, or React/Redux development experience; FitNesse experience; and experience with UAS, drones, or robotics.
- Must be willing to travel locally occasionally and meet applicable ITAR/EAR, U.S. person, export-license, citizenship, and potential security-clearance requirements.
