Base Salary
$99k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Train, test, deploy, and maintain models that learn from data.
- Rapidly prototype, develop, and iterate on chat systems, user-facing applications, and domain-specific copilots.
- Evaluate and tune AI outputs by refining prompts, optimizing retrieval logic, and implementing custom heuristics.
- Define the direction of critical AI solutions using best-fit ML algorithms and technologies.
- Translate mission needs into refined, business-facing AI capabilities with mission integration teams and product stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, solutions architects, and MLOps engineers on large-scale solutions.
- Adapt AI solutions across different domains, use cases, and operational requirements.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering, applied AI and ML, or full-stack development, including AI integrations.
- Experience rapidly prototyping and iterating on use-case-specific AI solutions.
- Experience evaluating and tuning AI outputs, including prompts, retrieval logic, and custom heuristics.
- Experience with Python and API frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask, or rapid UI frameworks such as Streamlit or Gradio.
- Ability to work with mission integration teams and product stakeholders to translate mission needs into AI capabilities.
- TS/SCI clearance is required.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Preferred experience includes human-in-the-loop evaluation, AI red teaming, conversational-interface safety, and hallucination mitigation.
- Preferred experience includes React or TypeScript, analytical dashboards, user-interaction and model-performance tracking, and conversational or generative UX.
- Security+ Certification is preferred.
