Base Salary
$54k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build enterprise-ready AI agents with retrieval, orchestration, policy-based routing, tool invocation, evaluation harnesses, and lifecycle observability.
- Implement resilient, testable, and maintainable agentic workflows and iterate based on data, feedback, and changing requirements.
- Develop abstraction layers across Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, and other AI providers, and contribute to reusable libraries, SDKs, and engineering patterns.
- Use Kubernetes, Docker, serverless, event-driven architectures, CI/CD, and observability stacks to deliver scalable AI-native systems.
- Own deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production operation of services.
- Tailor and deploy agentic applications to finance, healthcare, retail, and other industry workflows.
- Partner with client stakeholders and subject-matter experts through design workshops, proofs of concept, and code-with sessions.
- Define metrics, testing harnesses, and evaluation plans for agent accuracy, latency, safety, and cost effectiveness.
- Create reusable documentation and best practices and contribute to internal AI-native and agentic engineering communities.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of engineering experience with cloud-native systems, including APIs, microservices, containerization, or serverless architectures.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience designing and deploying agentic solutions in production or near-production environments.
- At least 1 year of experience with modern AI platforms such as OpenAI, Claude, Vertex AI, or open-source models, including multi-provider abstraction layers.
- At least 3 years of strong Python, Java, or equivalent experience building 12-factor applications and using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Helm.
- At least 3 years of client-facing communication and collaboration experience, including leading technical discussions, workshops, or delivery sessions under ambiguity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent, or equivalent work experience; an associate degree requires at least 6 years of work experience.
- Preferred qualifications include relevant AI certifications, agentic tooling experience, enterprise AI engineering experience, multi-agent orchestration experience, GitHub projects, compound AI architecture experience, and delivery across multiple industries.
