Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain backend services handling real-time financial transactions.
- Co-own service architecture, resilience, and scalability using Domain-Driven Design principles.
- Lead technical design discussions, anticipate risks, and mentor less experienced engineers.
- Own service reliability in production, including monitoring, incident handling, and root-cause analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement through CI fixes, post-mortems, and sharing operational learnings across teams.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, frontend engineers, mobile engineers, and other backend engineers in autonomous squad teams.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering experience with large-scale web application architecture and real production constraints.
- Ability to transfer quickly between technology stacks and work with technologies similar to Go, Ruby, Kubernetes, AWS, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and ELK.
- Experience writing tests, setting up monitoring, handling incidents methodically, and performing root-cause analysis.
- Demonstrated ownership of released work, including tracking impact, identifying regressions, and improving systems proactively.
- Comfort working collaboratively with product managers, designers, and engineers across multiple technology stacks.
- Fluent English communication skills.
