Base Salary
$179k - $269k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement parsers that translate simulation scenario definitions for execution by the backend simulation engine.
- Collaborate with autonomy developers and scenario creation teams to express and implement new requirements.
- Identify simulation-user pain points and propose and implement improvements to scenario definitions, maintainability, and error handling.
- Implement efficient sampling of scenario parameters across value ranges.
- Support backend simulation infrastructure updates involving message flows, vehicle logs, and maps.
- Enable scalable cloud-based scenario execution for automated-driving safety and comfort validation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a PhD.
- Expertise in modern C++.
- At least 3 years of experience developing complex parsing software.
- Ability to write efficient, well-tested, well-documented code that conforms to a style guide.
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner with internal and external team members.
- Python experience for automation tasks is preferred.
- Knowledge of entity component systems and event-driven architecture is preferred.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States; visa sponsorship is available.
