Base Salary
$155k - $223k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build the platform framework, common services, and on-premises appliance platform.
- Implement scalable, event-driven architectures and Kafka data pipelines.
- Participate in design reviews, architecture discussions, and postmortems.
- Conduct research spikes on new technologies and alternative designs.
- Collaborate with Product Management, SRE, Experience Reliability Engineering, and technical leads.
- Mentor more junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent technical degree such as Mathematics or Physics.
- 5 years of related professional engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree, 3 years with a master’s degree, or 0 years with a PhD.
- Programming experience in Go, Java, or C/C++.
- Experience with debugging, unit testing, event-driven architecture, and Kafka data pipelines.
- Experience with SaaS enterprise software or cloud-based infrastructure.
- Preferred: master’s degree in computer science or a related field, scalable and highly available systems experience, data structures and algorithms knowledge, distributed-team experience, service-oriented architecture experience, and MongoDB or other NoSQL database experience.

- Starting salary range of $155,000.00 to $222,600.00, excluding incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
