Responsibilities
- Administer and support the firm’s DevOps systems, including Puppet, Jenkins, GitHub, and SVN.
- Manage software compilation, deployment, and lifecycle management for core application platforms.
- Administer and automate Linux systems, including resource management, continuity and resiliency planning, security operations, and patching and upgrades.
- Monitor and troubleshoot core systems and recommend performance improvements.
- Support business and technology development teams with dependency resolution and software testing methodologies.
- Collaborate with US technology teams, technical experts, and business users from the London office.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience in development or IT operations within a financial services company.
- A university degree is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with multiple DevOps tools, including infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, source control, scripting, containerization, and public cloud management.
- Experience with Terraform or Puppet; Jenkins or GitHub Actions; GitHub or SVN; Bash, PowerShell, or Python; Docker or Kubernetes; and AWS or Azure.
- Ability to translate business and technical requirements into reproducible and resilient technology systems.
- Ability to assess systems and processes and recommend appropriate modifications.
- Strong communication, collaboration, initiative, ownership, and quality focus are expected.
