Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and extend high-performance C++ functionality across five equities trading environments.
- Build performant systems with strong quality, testability, and production-readiness standards.
- Own features end to end, coordinating with engineers and business stakeholders from design through delivery.
- Mentor software engineers and act as a subject matter expert for one or more systems.
- Interview and evaluate software engineering candidates.
- Provide technical support and diagnose and resolve complex production issues.
- Provide support outside normal working hours as needed.
Requirements
- Significant experience with modern C++, including low-level, high-performance solutions.
- Experience with C++11 or later; C++20 experience is a plus.
- A track record of taking ownership of features or projects from design through production.
- Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced engineers.
- A proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and comfort working directly with business stakeholders.
- Experience working and developing in Linux environments.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases is a plus.
- Python experience is a plus.
- Exposure to low-latency or real-time trading systems is a plus.
- A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field is a plus.
