Responsibilities

  • Build and operate AWS-based services using MWAA, Lambda, and Fargate for portfolio workflows.
  • Develop and extend GenAI infrastructure to accelerate research and portfolio management workflows.
  • Design, develop, and support software and systems for systematic investment decisions across equities, options, bonds, currencies, commodities, and derivatives.
  • Implement and support holdings and position management, trade submission, and reporting systems.
  • Build and maintain market-data, alternative-data, and investment-signal pipelines.
  • Own the reliability, observability, and operational health of production investment systems.
  • Partner with investment professionals and technology teams to build tools supporting their work.
  • Evaluate emerging cloud, GenAI, quantitative-library, and data-platform technologies and share recommendations through write-ups, pilots, and mentoring.
  • Support day-to-day portfolio management activities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in financial services or another quantitative domain.
  • A degree in a relevant field with experience using technology to solve quantitative problems.
  • Strong interest in capital markets and the systems that support them; prior experience is an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of Python and experience using Pandas.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including Git, code review, automated testing, and system design.
  • Hands-on AWS or equivalent cloud experience, particularly with MWAA, Lambda, and Fargate.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
  • Experience with GenAI infrastructure such as Amazon Bedrock or SageMaker, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt orchestration, or LLM application frameworks is an asset.
  • Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and help teammates adopt them through technical talks, write-ups, or mentoring.
  • High-performing team-player mindset and excellent communication skills.
