Base Salary
$153k - $191k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend services for reporting and data workflows.
- Drive architectural decisions across distributed systems and APIs.
- Lead initiatives focused on platform scalability and performance optimization.
- Build systems that handle compute- and IO-intensive workloads.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver reliable capabilities.
- Improve observability and operational tooling across production systems.
- Shape the evolution of the next-generation reporting platform.
- Contribute to software design, testing, and production readiness best practices.
- Lead design reviews and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience in large-scale backend systems.
- Strong programming skills in Kotlin, Java, Python, or similar languages.
- Deep understanding of system design, APIs, and performance optimization.
- Experience with scalable cloud-native services, preferably AWS.
- Proven ability to build high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems.
- Familiarity with asynchronous processing and event-driven architectures.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Curiosity and a desire for continuous learning.
