Responsibilities
- Embed with client teams to understand workflows and frame business and commercial problems as AI opportunities.
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, testing, deployment, and iteration of AI solutions in production.
- Set technical direction, make architectural decisions, and defend them to client engineering and security teams.
- Establish integrations, access permissions, hosting, and other technical foundations with client IT teams.
- Prove value in production, productize successful solutions, and develop a pipeline of additional use cases.
- Mentor and support other engineers while improving delivery standards through reviews and pairing.
- Help clients develop their own AI capabilities and maintain awareness of AI and technology trends.
Requirements
- Strong programming and system design skills, including recent hands-on Python experience and ideally C#/.NET, Java, Rust, or C++.
- Production experience with AI or machine learning systems, including LLMs, prompt design, agentic workflows, evaluation harnesses, and retrieval pipelines.
- Experience with APIs, integrations, SQL, Azure or AWS, version control, CI/CD, and security and access considerations for client environments.
- Ability to own projects end to end in ambiguous settings and make sound build-versus-buy decisions.
- Direct experience working with clients or business stakeholders and communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving, ownership, entrepreneurial, collaboration, and business-domain learning abilities.
- An undergraduate degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
- Financial services experience is preferred but not required.
