Responsibilities
- Own the technical design and implementation of Guidewire solutions across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, Digital platforms, integrations, APIs, and decoupled services.
- Lead solution design for complex cross-module requirements and maximize out-of-the-box Guidewire capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple squads or workstreams and govern solution designs, code, and configurations.
- Set and enforce engineering standards, patterns, best practices, and delivery governance.
- Ensure non-functional requirements for performance, scalability, reliability, and resilience are designed, tested, and met.
- Guide teams on cloud-native patterns, DevSecOps, and observability practices.
- Lead root-cause analysis for severe or recurring incidents and drive permanent fixes.
- Own production stability, defect leakage reduction, repeat-incident reduction, and change-related failure reduction.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, product owners, and business-unit stakeholders on solution options, scope, and delivery approaches.
- Mentor intermediate and junior Guidewire developers and build technical depth across teams.
- Drive reusable components, accelerators, blueprints, standardization, and simplification.
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of Guidewire development experience.
- Strong expertise across multiple Guidewire products, including PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, and Jutro.
- Strong experience with complex integrations and distributed systems.
- Proven experience managing technical delivery across multiple teams or modules.
- Strong understanding of property and casualty insurance processes and regulatory context.
- Experience owning production stability and operational outcomes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Guidewire Cloud Platform delivery and operations experience is preferred.
- Experience with DevSecOps pipelines, CI/CD, and observability tools is preferred.
- Experience leading large-scale Guidewire programs or multi-country implementations is preferred.
- Experience in regulated, multi-business-unit enterprise environments is preferred.
- Prior contribution to platform standards or architecture forums is preferred.
