Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain internal cloud, PaaS, Kubernetes, and pipeline infrastructure platforms.
- Design and create monitoring systems that reduce manual intervention in daily web operations.
- Respond to platform incidents in an on-call rotation, including off-hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Develop automation code for detecting, remediating, and preventing recurring operational problems.
- Create automation tools that help initial responders resolve easily addressed issues.
- Contribute to infrastructure design and improve system resiliency.
Requirements
- Expert understanding of cloud operational duties.
- Working knowledge of vSphere, Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, and Concourse pipelines.
- Ability to write high-quality automation code in one or more programming languages.
- Strong awareness of security needs and best practices.
- Fluent English.
- Familiarity with XML gateways, API technology, and F5 load balancers is preferred.
- Experience with multiple cloud vendors is a plus.
