TECH LEAD: PLATFORM ENGINEERING(AZURE, IAC & DEVOPS)

Responsibilities
- Own the low-level design and provide technical direction for the Azure platform product area in collaboration with architects.
- Build and evolve reusable Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, platform services, templates, and guardrails for multiple product and solution teams.
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies, feature definition, estimation, sprint planning, technical impediment resolution, and production readiness.
- Ensure code quality, meaningful code reviews, engineering standards, DevSecOps practices, governance, security, and compliance-by-design.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortems.
- Mentor team members, document design decisions, participate in interviews and hiring decisions, and drive engineering best practices.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact across Product, Architecture, and Platform teams and communicate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
- 10+ years of cloud, DevOps, or platform engineering experience, including at least 5+ years owning IaC and CI/CD foundations for multiple teams, or equivalent demonstrated ownership and impact.
- Strong hands-on Azure platform engineering experience designing and evolving shared capabilities for multiple development and product teams.
- Expertise designing, reviewing, and maintaining productized Infrastructure as Code repositories and patterns.
- Experience designing, deploying, and operating containerized applications using Azure Kubernetes Services, Container Apps, and Container Instances.
- Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with validation, approvals, and promotion integrated into the development lifecycle.
- Experience with security automation, vulnerability scanning, and secrets-related automation in DevSecOps platform toolchains.
- Strong practical experience with Azure DevOps and Git branching, pull requests, and pipeline-based validation and approval gates.
- Ability to build reusable templates and tooling that improve developer experience through automation and standardization.
- Understanding of cloud governance, compliance-by-design, standards, policies, tagging, naming conventions, and security frameworks including SOX and ISO 27001.
- Working knowledge of Agile development practices, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, flexibility, teamwork, and fluency in spoken and written English.
- Experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, platform-level monitoring and observability, reusable cloud hub and platform services, and FinOps or cost optimization is an asset.
