Responsibilities
- Improve and maintain the proprietary investment strategy codebase under the guidance of senior CMIA team members.
- Support software for investment strategies, automated algorithmic trading, portfolio and order management, risk analysis, reporting, profit and loss analysis, performance attribution, and portfolio analytics.
- Research and implement quantitative strategies and contribute to regression testing.
- Investigate and attribute portfolio profit and loss to strategies and factors.
- Source, clean, and visualize varied datasets.
- Contribute to portfolio implementation infrastructure and analytical tool development and optimization.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering or Computer Science.
- Have a solid understanding of software engineering concepts, including design patterns, object-oriented programming, databases, and version control systems.
- Demonstrate strong programming skills, preferably in Python, MATLAB, and JavaScript.
- Have a strong interest in financial markets and motivation to learn systematic investment strategies and automated trading systems.
- Return to studies after the work term is completed.
- Be legally entitled to work in the country where the role is located.
