Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize embedded software components for the Matter protocol stack.
- Lead technical initiatives and guide the team in solving complex engineering challenges.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote continuous learning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Matter with Wi-Fi and Thread-based platforms.
- Perform hands-on debugging using GDB, JTAG, logic analyzers, and trace analyzers.
- Optimize embedded-system performance and reliability in resource-constrained environments.
- Contribute to protocol compliance, certification, and interoperability testing.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in embedded systems development.
- Strong C++ proficiency, including memory management, concurrency, and object-oriented design.
- Hands-on embedded-systems debugging experience using GDB, JTAG, and trace analyzers.
- Understanding of Wi-Fi protocols, 802.11 standards, WPA/WPA2, and IP networking.
- Familiarity with RTOS environments and UART, SPI, and I2C hardware interfaces.
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical projects.
- Experience with AI-powered tools and technologies for productivity, analysis, and decision-making.
- Preferred experience with Thread, Zigbee, or other mesh networking protocols.
- Exposure to the Matter protocol stack, IPv6, mDNS, and secure commissioning flows.
- Open-source contribution experience and familiarity with Zephyr RTOS are nice to have.
