Base Salary
$175k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize next-generation equity trading platforms using Java.
- Translate quantitative financial models and trading strategies into robust, scalable, low-latency applications.
- Research and analyze enhancements to algorithms, market-impact models, and short-term predictive signals.
- Analyze large datasets involving market data, orders, executions, and derived analytics.
- Enhance trading-model development and simulation frameworks.
- Drive adoption of AI and large language models for code generation, debugging, predictive maintenance, and testing within the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers, Coverage, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Audit, and other control functions.
- Support governance, supervision, risk management, regulatory compliance, and responsible-finance practices.
- Obtain and maintain required registrations and licenses, including Series 7, 57, and 63.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of Java development experience focused on high-performance, concurrent, and low-latency systems.
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
- Preferred experience in financial trading, including at least 3 years researching and developing agency execution, smart order routing, liquidity seeking, market making, or high-frequency trading strategies.
- Preferred understanding of US equity algorithmic trading and market microstructure.
- Preferred experience applying statistical modeling and machine learning to large datasets.
- Desirable experience with Q/KDB or time-series databases.
- Master’s or PhD in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; candidates with a bachelor’s degree and relevant experience may also be considered.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Required to hold or obtain Series 7, 57, and 63 licenses.
