Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, production-ready backend services.
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS.
- Build secure, high-performance REST APIs and system integrations.
- Implement automated deployments and manage development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Participate in technical and architectural decisions focused on scalability, availability, and maintainability.
- Configure and operate AWS services for enterprise applications.
- Implement observability, monitoring, incident tracking, security practices, backup, recovery, and load-balancing strategies.
- Support application modernization and migration of legacy systems to modern AWS architectures.
- Design solutions for securely storing, processing, and accessing large volumes of information.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend software development experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing production applications on AWS and participating in cloud deployments, operations, and maintenance.
- Backend experience with Node.js preferred, or Python, Java, or equivalent backend technologies.
- Experience designing REST APIs, integrating systems and services, and implementing authentication and authorization.
- Practical experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/Fargate, Amazon S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, VPC, and load balancers.
- Knowledge of AWS application architecture, service communication, multi-account environments, high availability, and basic cloud security.
- Experience with Git, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or similar tools, and environment/version management.
- Experience with Docker and deploying applications on ECS/Fargate or similar platforms.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, relational databases, high availability, and failure recovery concepts.
- Knowledge of JWT, OAuth 2.0, secret management, endpoint protection, and role-based access control.
- React, Next.js, serverless architectures, CloudFormation or infrastructure as code, legacy application migration, and experience in regulated industries are desirable.
- Experience working in agile, collaborative environments and solving complex technical problems.
