Base Salary
$87k - $157k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, tune, document, and deploy software for real-time, high-availability systems.
- Lead software development activities independently and within a collaborative engineering team.
- Analyze complex system requirements and translate them into efficient, reliable, reusable, fault-tolerant, and maintainable software designs.
- Lead and mentor junior developers while influencing technical direction and development processes.
- Develop automation scripts across development, test, and production environments.
- Support system integration involving hardware and low-level communications interfaces.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, release planning, sprint reviews, and cross-program collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 4–8 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 2–6 years of relevant experience.
- Strong object-oriented programming experience and proficiency in C and/or C++.
- Experience developing real-time, multithreaded, high-availability systems in Linux environments, including Red Hat, virtual machines, and hypervisors.
- Experience with TCP/IP, UDP, SCTP, hardware or complex system integration, system maintenance and lifecycle concepts, and source control and configuration management tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and U.S. citizenship.
- Strong understanding of software development principles, effective planning and prioritization, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include Ada experience, test automation framework experience, and familiarity with AI/ML tools used in software development workflows.
