Responsibilities

  • Design, code, test, maintain, and release real-time embedded firmware for automotive ECUs, TCUs, and microcontrollers.
  • Develop and integrate in-vehicle firmware, TCU software, vehicle components, and cloud connectivity.
  • Implement automotive communication using CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Ethernet 100BASE-T1, and FlexRay.
  • Develop telematics and asset management platforms, vehicle-to-cloud data pipelines, OTA update systems, edge analytics, and data caching mechanisms.
  • Apply functional safety, cybersecurity, secure boot, encryption, and key-management practices.
  • Use HIL test beds, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and Vector tools to debug low-level hardware and software interactions.
  • Lead day-to-day execution, roadmap activities, issue triage, production patches, proof-of-concept projects, and cross-functional or vendor collaboration.
  • Mentor junior engineers and offshore team members while communicating project status, risks, blockers, and dependencies to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant firmware and software development experience in vehicle engineering, automotive, mobility, logistics, or related industries.
  • 5+ years of experience with embedded firmware and real-time controls, including ECUs, TCUs, microcontrollers, drivers, HALs, bootloaders, BSPs, bare-metal systems, and RTOS environments.
  • 5+ years of experience with connected-vehicle platforms and telematics, including LTE/5G, GPS/GNSS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, IoT messaging, OTA updates, and edge analytics.
  • 2+ years of experience in testing, security, and integration, including HSMs, secure boot, TLS, encryption, key management, HIL testing, and Vector tools.
  • Knowledge of ISO 26262, ASIL, MISRA C/C++, and AUTOSAR guidelines.
  • Experience collaborating across hardware, mechanical, cloud, and systems engineering teams from concept through production.
  • Ability to make technology selection decisions, lead technical execution, collaborate with stakeholders, and mentor engineers.
