Senior Support Engineer – Advanced Application Modelling Specialist
GE VernovaResponsibilities
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, deploy, and maintain Electrical Network Analysis and Network Model applications.
- Investigate and resolve calculation errors, convergence failures, configuration issues, and application integration problems.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and other DevOps tooling.
- Collaborate with customer engineers and GE Vernova software factories to resolve incidents and support software releases.
- Manage database configurations, Windows and Linux server environments, and networking components.
- Produce documentation, configuration guides, support manuals, handover materials, and testing support.
Requirements
- Strong software application support, troubleshooting, log and diagnostic analysis, and integration-error resolution capabilities.
- Experience managing software lifecycles from deployment and testing through operational support and CI/CD maintenance.
- Understanding of power-system engineering fundamentals, network topology, SCADA telemetry mapping, and CIM/IEC standards.
- Experience with server administration across Windows and Linux, database management, and scripting with Python or PowerShell.
- Ability to work directly with customers on critical infrastructure programs and learn new tools and technologies quickly.
- Experience supporting electrical network modelling or network analysis software is preferred.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred but not required.
