Responsibilities

Provision and maintain Kubernetes environments across development, staging, and production.
Perform day-to-day operations, upgrades, patching, and maintenance for platform services.
Set up environments and namespaces and configure networking, ingress, secrets, and storage.
Operate shared databases, message queues, caching systems, object storage, and CI/CD infrastructure.
Monitor platform health, capacity, alerts, and logs, and verify backups.
Investigate and resolve platform incidents, participate in on-call rotations, and conduct root cause analysis.
Automate operational tasks and improve monitoring, alerting, runbooks, and infrastructure-as-code repositories.
Collaborate with application teams, developers, and platform engineers to provide reliable internal platform services.

5 to 10 years of experience focused on reliable operation of production platforms.
Experience operating Kubernetes clusters in production and troubleshooting Kubernetes deployments, services, networking, resource management, scaling, and persistent storage.
Strong Linux and container fundamentals.
Experience operating databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ, and caching systems such as Redis.
Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform or Helm.
Experience with monitoring and logging systems and strong troubleshooting and incident response skills.
Preferred experience with CI/CD platforms, GitOps workflows, AWS, GCP, Azure, Prometheus, Grafana, observability platforms, and multi-team Kubernetes environments.
