Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into enterprise solution architectures aligned with standards, governance, and technology roadmaps.
- Develop and maintain logical, physical, integration, security, data, and infrastructure architecture artifacts.
- Evaluate solution alternatives based on business value, feasibility, cost, risk, and operational considerations.
- Lead architecture reviews, resolve governance findings, and secure architectural approval.
- Design integration approaches across applications, platforms, infrastructure, data sources, and external partners.
- Lead collaboration with cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, network, and application teams.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, constraints, and implementation challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
- Document architecture decisions and implementation guidance and contribute to architecture methods, standards, templates, and reusable patterns.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Twelve or more years of experience in solution architecture, application architecture, infrastructure architecture, systems engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Eight or more years of experience designing and implementing complex business and technology solutions across multiple technology domains.
- Experience leading architecture activities across requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational transition.
- Hands-on experience in at least three technical disciplines, such as application development, cloud platforms, systems integration, infrastructure services, data management, cybersecurity, networking, or enterprise applications.
- Strong knowledge of architecture governance, architecture reviews, solution architecture principles, design methodologies, and systems integration practices.
- Experience with cloud services, SaaS platforms, APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and hybrid environments.
- Knowledge of application, data, integration, security, and infrastructure architecture disciplines and non-functional requirements such as resiliency, scalability, performance, maintainability, and disaster recovery.
- TOGAF Foundation or Certified certification and a Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent cloud certification.
- ITIL Foundation and SAFe Architect, SAFe Agilist, or other Agile-related certifications.
- Ability to influence stakeholders, build consensus, evaluate trade-offs, communicate complex concepts clearly, and recommend practical solutions.
- Must be eligible for or able to obtain Canadian Controlled Goods Program authorization and a Canadian NATO Secret clearance.
