
Lead Software Engineer - Commercial Connect API Team

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of Java microservices for the Commercial Connect API platform.
- Contribute across the software development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, code reviews, pull requests, and delivery.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, TPMs, and test engineers to align technical and business goals.
- Optimize application performance and reliability for large-scale, high-traffic systems.
- Apply engineering best practices and enterprise security, operations, and architecture standards.
- Use AI-assisted engineering opportunities for code generation, test automation, troubleshooting, and improved test coverage.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a backend Software Engineer or Software Developer in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong experience developing backend applications with Java and Spring Boot.
- Expertise designing secure, scalable microservices with knowledge of microservices architecture, RESTful API design, and integration patterns.
- Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with scalable database solutions, including PostgreSQL or Oracle.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
- Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes, DevOps practices, automated testing, and Git-based version control.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, accelerate analysis, and generate test coverage.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
