Base Salary
$187k - $201k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define, architect, and develop in-house robot software applications.
- Serve as a technical lead by mentoring junior engineers, reviewing designs and code, and driving technical excellence.
- Identify and communicate technical risks, provide project status updates, and improve software development processes.
- Make significant code contributions to extensible, maintainable, and scalable software for robots deployed worldwide.
- Improve application performance through profiling, debugging, and testing.
- Support integration of deep learning models and pipelines, mapping, perception, and motion planning capabilities.
- Own improvements to software application quality and architecture.
- Coordinate across Hardware, Firmware, and Cloud disciplines and architect reusable solutions across robot product lines.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
- 7–8+ years of demonstrated software development experience for complex systems interacting with sensor inputs or control loops.
- 1–2+ years of demonstrated software technical leadership experience.
- High proficiency in production-level Python and C++ coding, including knowledge of Python constructs and internals.
- Good knowledge of software debugging and profiling tools.
- Ability to translate product requirements into actionable engineering tasks while allowing room for design and implementation discussions.
- Strong organizational, analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Open, curious, and creative approach to building robotics technology.
