Base Salary
$175k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain backend services and data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, enriching, and indexing large-scale company and person data.
- Own system components end to end from requirements and design through implementation, testing, production support, and incident response.
- Write efficient, scalable, reliable, and testable code and contribute to architecture and technical design decisions.
- Conduct code reviews, provide technical mentorship and feedback, and improve engineering practices.
- Support deployments, troubleshoot production systems, and participate in incident response.
- Apply AI tooling and experiment with LLM-powered capabilities where relevant to improve development and platform delivery.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data science partners in an Agile environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, predominantly in backend systems.
- 5+ years of Java development experience, including production microservices.
- 4+ years of experience with Spring Boot or Spring Framework.
- Strong experience with Kafka or comparable streaming and messaging platforms is preferred.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases, Elasticsearch or comparable search and indexing platforms, and large-scale data ingestion or enrichment pipelines is preferred.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS and/or GCP, RESTful API design, unit and integration testing, and distributed systems concepts is preferred.
- Familiarity with entity resolution, deduplication, data quality, domain-driven design, service-oriented architecture, and AI/LLM tools is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
